Miami Beach Comprehensive Wellness Center is excited to announce an online, interactive webinar for healthcare providers of all backgrounds. Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a type of bacterial imbalance in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The symptoms of SIBO are gas, bloating, constipation or diarrhea, often associated with a wide array of symptoms outside of the GI tract. Many patients with SIBO are told that have some form of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and thus never solve the root cause of their symptoms. Learning to recognize and address SIBO is useful for practitioners of all specialties as it is far more common than what is recognized in mainstream medicine and often goes undiagnosed.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify the common presenting symptoms of SIBO
- Discuss the biomedical approach to confirming the diagnosis of SIBO
- Discuss the energetic signatures of SIBO
- Become familiar with a basic approach to begin SIBO treatment using dietary, supplement, herbal and lifestyle approaches
- Discuss complementary modalities of treatment to address SIBO
